The beauty of using a pellet stove for heat, is its simplicity and minimal work. Every week or so, you will need to empty the ash pan. Whether you are burning corn, wood pellets, or another renewable fuel source, all renewable fuels will create some ash. This is a natural and normal part of the process, and it’s a wonderful idea to return this protect back into the healthy Eco-cycle by mixing your pellet stove into your garden soil.
We have a blog post that talks more about putting pellet stove ash in your garden called, “Get Ready to Garden.”
