I bought my first Country side multi-fuel stove about 7 years ago, a 3500 leg model. I was so impressed I told everyone I knew and two of them bought the same model. Then I decided to look for a furnace to link into my existing propane furnace plenum. I found a 7500 model, had it installed and have been happy ever since. The line up to buy my second hand 3500 was impressive. My strong likes are customer support, ease of cleaning, relatively quiet operation and ease of operation. I have burned successfully pellets, corn and/or cherry pits. Thank you American Energy.

Dear sir or madam,
We have two country side stoves. One is in the house and the other one is in the workshop. We burn a mixture of corn and wood pellets. We used to burn a mixture of corn and crushed oyster shells but the oyster shells were so dusty so we switched to wood pellets. My problem is I get a fine film of black dust/soot over everything around the corn burner and the same holds true for the one in the workshop except for out there it really does’nt matter because its a workshop but in the house its a problem. Is there anything I can do to remedy the situation? Swiffer dusters work great but I get tired of dusting everyday! I also need a new firebrick for the one in the workshop. How much does a new one cost?
admin says
The dust could be coming from the venting not being sealed, if you don’t have the fresh air connected to the appliance, a leaky hopper seal or most of the time it comes from the dust in your fuel bag coming out when you fill the hopper, being sucked into the room air fan and then blown out.
There will always be a little dust but you can reduce it greatly by making sure that all seams are sealed, the hopper is sealed and the fuel is screened.
The brickboard is part number P7554 and costs 69.00. You can order online here at http://www.magnumheat.com on the ECOM store or call the factory at 1-800-495-3196 to order direct,.

One of the “Stirs” for the lack of a better name to call it has broken off. Can you give me info regarding where I might get a new stirator?
admin says
The fuel stirrer is part number MF3513S and it can be ordered online at http://www.magnumheat.com on the ECOM store or you can call the factory at 320-227-2903. Be sure to check the bushings in the fuel stirrer driveshaft in case they are worn and need to be replaced.

I have a 3500p and the auger keeps sliding out and away from the drive motor connection. we put a different auger in it and a year later having the same problem. I want to remove the outside shell to get to the auger motor, which means taking off all three sides. Have any suggestions. Is the bushing bad and the motor? Help I really need this working again.. Thanks
admin says
The auger tube is probably worn into a slight funnel shape where the back is bigger than the front of the auger tube. You might need to get a 1 1/2″ diameter flap wheel at a hardware store and hone out the front of the auger tube a little. Then take a little bit of silicone and place on the end of the tang on your newer auger and slide in, let set up and that will keep the auger in place. You do not need to take all 3 sides off to get to the auger motor, just open one of the side panels and you can get the auger motor off if needed. Email [email protected] for more help or to upgrade to the newest auger system.
admin says
If you have the tang style auger there is no bushing to replace. If the rubber washer on the end of the auger motor is worn though you would want to replace that. The part number is MF3578.

I have a 3500p that would some times wouldn’t feed, then it would blink. So I cleaned the exhaust, the intake and everything I can think of. Now it has a sharp flame for the first ten minutes. Then the room blower kicks in and the flame slowly dies. Do you know what causes this?
admin says
There is a 10-15 minute startup sequence that bypasses the normal running operation. If the green light starts to blink after 10 minutes or so that usually means that the low temp sensor is dirty or going out. The next thing that it could be is a loose or corroded wire or a room air blower that is going out and when the blower kicks in, the amp limiter on the board is shutting it down. First step is to fire up the unit, then after about 5 minutes put a jumper wire on the low temp sensor. If all works, then the sensor is bad. If it still stops running, then the room air blower probably is bad or a wire. For more help email [email protected]

We have a magnum countryside 3500P corn burner. We love it. We are in need of a auger motor. By reading the other emails I am hoping to get a part number and order it online . Thank you very much, and I will be checking my emails.
admin says
If you unit is less than 10 years old and has the 1 1/2″ diameter auger then you would order the MF3573 auger motor. If it is older then email [email protected] with pictures of the auger motor on the stove.

I have the countryside 3500 corn/pellet stove. I bought it in 2001 and love it! Lately my auger will just quit turning. I opened the side and the fan on the auger motor spins and it sounds like the auger motor is working. I cleaned the hopper and made sure the auger key was firmly in the slot. Any ideas? Also I need to replace the firebrick on the back wall behind fire pot. Is there a part number for that? Thanks for your help!
admin says
Kathy, the brick board is part number P7554 and can be ordered off the ecom store on this website. If the auger is not turning and the motor fan is turning that would mean that either the coupler has come loose ( check the set screw on the coupler that fits over the auger motor shaft to be sure that it is tight on the flat of the shaft) or the gears have stripped in the auger motor and the motor needs replacing. Part number MF3573 if the auger is 1 1/2″ in diameter (should be if this unit is a 2001 model. You can email [email protected] to send pictures if needed or ask additional questions on the unit.
