Pellet Stove Heats 100 Year Old Cabin

pellet stove heat old log home flagstaff azWhen Lynda and Danny Hicks moved into a 100 year old cabin in Flagstaff, Arizona a while back, one thing was clear. The original, old-style grandiose fireplace that was built with the cabin was beautiful, but not an efficient source of heat for the home. When Lynda woke up and could see her breath, she knew that cranking up the propane furnace to the point of comfy, cozy would be costly. Heat bills to run the furnace and supplement with the old fireplace were between $400-$600 per month, and they weren’t even warm!

Having previously resided in Florida, their experience with alternative heating options was minimal. However, unlike Florida’s mild winter temps, Flagstaff’s higher elevation was presenting them with freezing temps during the winter. Something needed to be done, and quick. Friends advised them to look in to a wood stove, so their search started there. Things took a change for the better, when Lynda came across the phone number of American Energy Systems and gave a call. Lynda says the series of communications that followed changed their lives, and they are extremely pleased with their decision to by a Little Rascal pellet stove. Not only did she feel like she was able to get her questions answered, she feels like her needs were put before the company’s needs to sell a product. Because of the genuine concern that she get the right heating appliance for her needs and home, Lynda is ready to “recommend American Energy Systems company and pellet stoves to anyone, anywhere, at anytime!”

Lynda is excited to talk about the perfect placement of her pellet stove in an area that shoots down the hallways and quickly heats the rest of the home. “The Little Rascal pellet stove has made a difference in our lives. We’re on a fixed income, ready to enjoy retirement.”

Stories like Lynda’s are about much more than saving on heat. It’s this kind of repetitive, positive customer experiences that have home owners telling others about the difference it makes in buying from a company who personally answers the phone. Furthermore, a company like American Energy Systems that genuinely cares that people don’t just “make a pellet stove” purchase; but a lifetime investment for which they’ll be thankful.

Worst purchase I have ever made. Cost me more than a new gas furnace and does not heat our first floor. Maintenance is costly and continouous with no chance of using the bogus warranty. Customer technical support is legendary if you like rude. I have all supporting documentation for my nightmare ride

Hello, I bought a pellet furnace model 6500. I always have a clinker ball in the firepot, I adjusted the damper of différante way and nothing has changed. I have a 1600 square foot house and I have always left the furnace at level 4. I never ash in the Ash pan. I don’t speach English verywell, do you have any contact in Québec Canada? Thank for eveything Dan.

Whether you have wood pellets or corn you can get clinkers in the firepot. If you have fresh air connected to outside and the proper 4″ venting that will help. The clinker must be removed once a day for proper operation. The clinker will not normally change with each heat setting, it will just take a little longer to build up. if you would like, send pictures of your fire, installation of venting and ductwork to [email protected] and they will assess any changes that need to be made for better improvement of fire.
