Can I burn treated seed corn in my corn stove?
Sorry, but it is not safe to burn treated seed corn. Seed corn is often treated with chemical pesticides that are harmful or fatal if swallowed; therefore, seed corn is dangerous to even have in the house, especially where children and pets can reach it.
But, untreated seed corn makes an excellent fuel so check with your local seed dealer.

If I have seed corn that is 3 years old is it safe to burn in a corn stove?

If the seed corn is UNTREATED you can burn it. If it is treated seed corn you are not supposed to burn it in the stove according to Federal regulations. It is also very unhealthy to have that treatment inside of the home. The factory does not recommend burning treated corn and it does void any warranty.
